Deb Dobkins is a shallow, aspiring model who tragically dies in a car accident. After a celestial mix-up at the gates of Heaven, her soul is sent back to Earth—but not in the body she expected. She wakes up as Jane Bingum (played brilliantly by Brooke Elliott), a brilliant, hard-working, plus-size attorney with a genius IQ.

Now, Deb must navigate a world where she is judged for her mind instead of her measurements. Combining her fashion-forward intuition with her newfound legal brilliance, Jane takes on tough courtroom battles while trying to handle her complicated romantic life.
